Khamnam’s Diary

I would say, 2007 an year of great achievements in my life. Also many interesting twist and turns happened in my life during the year. Well, it is in this year 2007 (but started from December 2006) that I started making websites and blogs. In short, I became a webmaster in this year only. Life became more responsible and also it was just after the retirement of my father that I started thinking over the financial issues of my family. I don’t remember every detail of all the incidents that happened in 2007 but I will try my best to recall the interesting incidents that happened in the year 2007. Well, I came back from home on the month of January and this was sixth (6th) semester of my B.Tech degree and also this was the most crucial stage of my educational life because this semester would decide my fate. Placement is the key factor and it was happened just after the sixth semester. The placement season started in the month of April and I got placed in Wipro on twenty third (23rd) April after I had missed TCS and Accenture. It was one of the most happiest moment in my life and I felt like I did something in my life, not just for me but for my whole family, friends and the relatives. We celebrated the night with Champagne.

And also I received my first check from Paypal in this month, May only. I still remember the date and it was 4th April that I received my first check from Paypal. It was my first salary and reached about Rs. 17,140/-. In this semester, we never led any achievement went without party and in a usual way, we did celebrate in the night. (better if I do not go detail about party, know yourself). And during the trip from Bhopal to Imphal for the vacation after sixth (6th) semester, I discovered some creepy things in Guwahati. We reached Guwahti in the noon and Shyam Deka was supposed to stay together with me. But unfortunately, an organization in Assam imposed bandh (road close) in the way to Deka’s home. So, his parents insisted him to come back soon. And therefore he decided to left Guwahati for Johrat. Then, I was destined to stay alone the whole night in a hotel named “Bijeta” near the gate of Apsara Talkies, Guwahati. I had heard some stories about this hotels but I thought all these are just shit and all supernatural stuffs until it happened to me at that night.

Well, I felt very lonely that night and therefore I decided to smoke and I bought a cigarette packet. I went on smoking till I felt little sleepy. But just before I went to bed, some police personals had exchange of mouth with the owner of the shop just below the hotel. They were talking in Assamese and I am Manipuri. It was hard for me to understand their language. So, I decided to ask about the incident to a nearby person. There was an old man whom I always met whenever I stay in this hotel. I wasn’t aware about how he is, why he stay there and what he does. But that night I was alone and I started thinking about all these stuffs. He used to say something alone with a bowl in this hand. He was in the corner of the balcony and I couldn’t hear his voice very vividly. So, I decided to ask him about the incident. I approached him and asked in “Hindi” about the incident that happened just below the hotel in front of a shop. But he didn’t reply. I continued asking the same question in a louder voice but he didn’t give any response or any expression in his face. By the time, I was little scared and even I couldn’t recognize what he was saying alone. It was not Assamese either. I started thinking whether that was someone’s soul or something creepy stuffs. Then, I went back to my room and tried to sleep. But all in vain, I couldn’t drag my mind to another subject like romance, sexy,emotional or anything. Meanwhile, the light had gone for the area and the situation was worsened. I hate dark and the night was just like a nightmare to me. I stepped down to the receptionist’s room and complaint there for the light. They consoled me that the light would come again in a few minutes. Well, the light came again. But after half an hour, the light had gone again. But this time, when I reached the receptionist’s room, there was no one in the room. I ran back to my room and by that time, I was sweat with fear. I heard some creepy sounds near the window and also I heard someone knocking my door but I didn’t response to all these stuffs again. I do not know when did I sleep that night and when I woke up I was alive and also it was morning. Jesus! what a creepy night that was and in the morning, I catch the flight for Imphal and left Guwahati for my home.

It was in that vacation that I was in some affairs with a girl. I do not want to mention her name. Well, as a part of my academic activities, I was supposed to attend a training programme during the vacation and I decided to do my training in AIR( All India Radio) station. There I met the girl and on the very first day I felt like I was interested on her. It was a training programme of around 15 days and the training was going in a normal way watching her and also sometimes she watched me back. I hardly talked to her but each time when I talked to her, she replied with great enthusiasm. It was on the last day of the training programme that I hinted her that I was interested on her. One of my friend asked her mobile number saying I wanted her number. She gave me her number and at the night I called up her. I was going back to Bhopal and the vacation had ended. The flight was on the next day. At the night, I talked with her very formally. And I promised her that I would call her when I reached Bhopal. I called up her from Bhopal and the relationship became concrete with her. But it went for only 4-5 months and I broke up with her again. There are some reasons of breaking up with her. I was in an affair with another girl who I think as my first love before I met her. But the relationship was dazzy and I was not believe in that relationship. But during August-September, 2007 I maked up again with my first love. I visited Delhi in their college technical festival. She was more beautiful than I had seen her before. We spent two days together and I will not foget that trip to Delhi in my whole life. I broke up with the second girl for my first love. And another tragedy is that I am still confused about the relationship with my first girl also. Anyway this was a great experience in my romantic life in the year 2007. In between the relationships, there was another affair with another girl but it was not lasting long. Right now, she is in Manipal, Nepal doing medical studies.

Also I bought many gadgets and costly stuffs in this year 2007. I bought Nokia N73 Music Edition for Rs. 16,4000/- and then I bought a Dell Laptop for about Rs. 50,000/-. The story continued even after I reached home. I bought Pulsar 200 for Rs. 74,000/-. And my vacation in Manipur cost around 30,000. Altogether, I spent more than 3-4 lakhs in the whole year and may be even more than that. But this year was an amazing year for me. Also I got placed in Maruti Udyog again in July-August of this month. This was a year of great achievements and also great discoveries in every field. We frequently visit Ja Hanuma in the semester of July-November. The frequency of partying also increases a bit more in this year 2007. And now I wish all my friends, family, relatives and to all the living beings in this world, a great and prosperous New Year 2008.
