Khamnam’s Diary

Khamnam Dinesh Singh is an international martial arts specialist who has already visited more than 25 countries in his life to demonstrate their skills and talents in martial arts. He is on one but my elder brother. I still remember the time when he stepped out of the home for the first international travel and the destination was China. Thang-Ta is special martial arts in Manipur and the people of Manipur are very familiar with the Thang-Ta martial arts. Thang means sword and Ta means spears.

Now, Khamnam Dinesh Singh is more than 33 years old and also got married. All the time, he was always accompanied with his Thang-Ta team which comprise of a group of people. But when there is any plan for foreign travel, they always select two-three specialized persons in martial arts (Thang-Ta) like my brother. In Manipur there are different groups of martial arts and Hulla is the group for my brother.

Now I can proudly say that only few countries which haven’t reached by my brother but there is still hope to explore those countries also. Each time when they went for their demonstration on different countries, my brother use to bring back home some mementos and symbols of the countries they visited. Here I put a photograph of coins from different countries of the world that my brother collected during their journey.
