UPSC Preim exam CS 2012 answer keys | Cut off 2011 analysis CSAT
After few days of desperate search and discussion on many forums and over internet about the cut off marks of UPSC Civil Service (CS) Preliminary examination 2011 so as to predict the cut off CS Prelim 2012 cut off, I could able to come to some conclusion. We do not need to consider exams before 2010 as the pattern and cut off is new since 2011.
Sectional cut off or over all cut off (combination of both Paper 1 and Paper 2) is another point of contention among the candidates. Well, GS and CSAT or Paper 1 & 2 is said to have a combined cut off in most of the forum discussion and coaching centers. So, let’s hope for the best to have a combined cut off for paper 1 and paper 2.
For General, cut off was around 200 (+/-5) in 2011 CS prelim exam and for OBC it is around 195, SC 190 and ST 185. So, the cut off of 2012 CS Prelim exam will have more or less same level with 2011 cut off but this may vary depending on the performance of the candidates.

Iam obc candidate my over all 175 to 185 what chance for maic exam..
Well, last year the cut off for the OBC was around 175-180. This time Paper 1 was quite tricky and Paper 2 was quite lengthy. So, the chances of shifting the cut off towards high side is very less.
You should start preparation for the main because hardly 3 months left for the mains exam.
